Cisco launches new data centre equipment - Network Accessories
Network equipment giant Cisco has launched a new range of products across its Data Centre Business Advantage portfolio.
Among them are Cisco MDS storage switches, the Cisco Data Centre Network Manager and the Cisco Unified Computing SystemTM.
The new innovations deliver end-to-end data centre fabric convergence in both physical and virtualised environments.
With the products, multiple data centres and cloud services can be connected across a common intelligent fabric, delivering operational simplicity for businesses.
Jack Sepple, global managing director at the Accenture and Cisco Business Group at Accenture, said Cisco's latest advances will provide a lower total cost of ownership, reduced complexity and security in the cloud.
"Through our strategic alliance with Cisco, we've developed a suite of joint data centre solutions that combine Cisco's advanced technologies with Accenture's industry-specific process knowledge and expertise," he remarked.
The new product launches come after used Cisco completed its acquisition of Inlet Technologies, a provider of ABR digital media processing platforms, earlier this month.
